December Is Here

Greetings Readers!

Yippee!  Today is officially December 1, which marks the beginning of a new month.  For many people, December is their favorite time of year because of so many different festivities going on.  Holidays like Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah are well-known.

I myself do not celebrate Kwanzaa and Hanukkah, but celebrate Christmas.  So, as Christmas approaches I will start a Christmas count-down on my blog and include something having to do with Christmas each day.

Now a little about me:
My favorite part of Christmas is everything.  I like getting together with family and friends, seeing the lights and decorations, and so much more!  What's your favorite thing about Christmas?

Happy Holidays!
~Julia

  1. Hi Julia, I agree that everything about Christmas is fun, but especially the time spent with family and friends. I also love to attend live concerts with holiday music featured. My grandson Harri, is in middle school, and their vocal ensemble came in third in the nation last year. ( They competed in New York) Uncle and I are going to see them perform at the Portland Zoo next week. I also love to bake an assortment of holiday cookies. I will send photos, but I'm not sure I can actually post them on your blog. Have a great day!

  2. Aunty Sylvia,

Thank you for sharing about your Christmas! It sounds like it's filled with family and friends, laughs, and good times. Also, congratulations to your grandson Harri on his big accomplishment! He must be very gifted in music. I've never been to the Portland Zoo before, so please tell me all about it!

Mmmm! Those cookies sound delicious! Please send me pictures, even if you can't post them on my blog.

    Thank you,
    Julia

Julia, I decided to comment as myself, instead of Uncle Jim! Makes more sense doesn't it?

  9. Aunty Sylvia,

Haha, that makes so much more sense! When you first commented I was thinking, "Jim Dodge? I thought Aunty was going to comment!"

Look forward to hearing from you!

  13. I like spending tie with friends and family. Also going Christmas shopping for gifts and giving away gifts you think they will like. It gives me the feeling of Christmas.

  14. Oh shopping! Haha, I completely forgot about that! Well, shopping is definitely a fun "Christmassy" thing to do during Christmas. Especially the Christmas sales!

Giving gifts are fun too. It's great to hear back from them and see if they liked their present or not. Giving is just this warm feeling in your heart when you know that you made someone happier.

    Happy Holidays!
