Art All Around- Museum 1

You may not notice, but art is everywhere.  Art can be anything as simple as a bowl or as complex as a city.  Recently, I have become more interested in art than I was before.  I started to appreciate the smaller things in life.  And so, today I would like to share some of my favorite simple pieces of art.  Take a look:

Well, that's all for today!  I hope you enjoyed these simple but cool works of art.  Be sure to look for the next installment of "Art All Around" coming out sometime this year.

  1. My fave museum was Exhibit C: Recycled Art! I care about the environment a lot, so that was perfect for me.

    Tawn.

  2. Tawn,

Oh cool! I care about the environment as well, so that's why recycled art is one of my favorites. I think it's so cool to make art out of materials like bottle caps, cans, juice pouches, etc...

  5. Hey Julia,

I love art, especially drawing with you! :D
It's so cool how you can make art in so many different ways!
How do you make art with coffee? Wouldn't the picture like... not stay in place? Lol

  6. Hi Julia,

I love art because it is a way where you can express who you really are. I like drawing animated characters and animals. When I was in 3rd grade, I got taught by a teacher on techniques do enhance my drawing skills.

I liked mainly everything, especially the recycled art section and the coffe art. If there really was a museum with all those stuff in it, I would love to visit it!

  7. Tawnie,

It was so fun to go picnickin' in the woods with you! Let's go again sometime. This time, let's bring a basket made of bottle caps to collect berries in. I love recycled art too, it's so environmentally friendly!

    Love,
    Townie

  8. Dear Jasmine,

I like drawing little towns and buildings with you!

The coffee art is made by cream I think. There is probably videos on youtube that show people making coffee art. Check them out sometime.

  9. Nina,

It's so cool that you got lessons from your teacher. I guess that's why you are so good at drawing characters and anime.

Same here. Maybe there is a place with these kinds of art? Eh, probably not.

  10. Townie,

  11. Julia, I liked the coffee art and fruits section. There's a lot of cafe's in Japan that specialize in coffee art, so I hope we can go together one day! Fruits, I made with my friends rabbit apples, but I guess that's kind of common. It would've been cooler if you actually made them yourself or together though. The recycled stuff was great too. Your orange bag is recycled materials too!

All these pictures are so cute, but I love pictures and images of angels and fairies and cute imaginary creatures, so would love it if you post those. Also like lacey stuff, ribbons, stuffed animals....... What about you?

  18. Jasmine,

Well, I'm very sorry but I do not specialize in making coffee art. In fact I do not have the slightest idea how this is done. If you are super duper interested in making it then look it up on Youtube, or if enough people want to see it then I will maybe post a video on my blog.

  21. My dear Tawnie,

I will soon leave my small town in Michigan for your forest home in Ohio. I will probably get there by next weekend, so keep collecting those bottle caps! When I get there, let's start making the baggie. It will be so much fun, and those berries will be tasty! I just hope that a big mean bear won't try to steal them from us again!

    Love,
    Townie

  29. Aunty SylviaJanuary 10, 2012

Julia, It is true that we are constantly surrounded by art...all we have to do is keep our eyes open and as you say, even the smallest things can be delightful works of art... I too, love recycled art, and I am going to try and send a photo of a huge piece that we saw at the Seattle Museum of Art... this website takes a really long time to download anything, so we'll see... love your whimisical flower look!

Julia, there was no way that I could post the photo. It was a figure of a man... very, very large, made entirely of recycled wine bottles...

  31. Dear Aunty Sylvia,

It's too bad that you couldn't post the picture! I was hoping to see it, but it's ok. I don't think it's possible to post pictures in the comment section. Thank you for the compliment and I hope to hear from you again!
